Growing like a weed

For those of you who love looking at videos and pictures of our sweet little daughter Grace, there are new videos and pictures on our website. One new video shows her new skill of jumping up and down in her Jumpster, and the other shows her learning to sit up all by herself. It won't be too long, folks, until she's a self-sufficient little sitter. Wowsers, kids really do grow like weeds. (That metaphor stops there, though...'Cause I wouldn't consider spraying her with weed killer like my father-in-law did to his dandelions, making some funny bald spots in his lawn...Anyway...)

On a happy note, my sis Melissa, her hubby Karl, and their baby Karl IV ("Kade") were down to visit this weekend. We had such a good time! Melissa and I have come a long, long way since our childhood. She's 3-1/2 years older than me, to the day, and we just never really got along all that well. For instance, she would babysit me when we were fairly young, and I would mouth off to her, and she would chase me around the house bopping me on the head. Oh, what great memories...Anyway, now we're great friends. We're both married, and we got to experience our first pregnancies at the same time. We just seem to be in the same stage of life, if you will. I like it. My sister is one of my closest friends! (My mom always told us this would happen one day. She's smart.)
